Acentech 2023 Project Awards
Acentech is pleased to announce our recent project awards received in 2021.
Acentech is proud to announce that two of their principal consultants have received prestigious awards from the Institute of Noise Control Engineering of the USA (INCE-USA). Eric Wood, a 46-year veteran and founder of the firm, received the INCE Distinguished Service Award to recognize his long history of service to the Institute. Eric has been a long-time active member, Director, and President of INCE-USA. He currently serves as the President of the INCE Foundation. He has generously contributed countless hours of his time and recruited others to donate their time to INCE-sponsored activities. Of particular note, he has elevated the professional standing of INCE through his longtime work with other notable INCE and INCE Foundation leaders in both organizing and publishing the findings of numerous workshops hosted by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE).
Michael Bahtiarian, Principal Consultant in the Noise/Vibration Group, received the William W. Lang Award for Distinguished Noise Control Engineer. Michael is the first person to receive the newly named award in memory of devoted INCE member Bill Lang, also a recipient of this award back in 2002. Michael’s award was in recognition of ongoing professional noise control engineering services for wide-ranging industrial, environmental, architectural and marine applications, and service to INCE-USA. Mr. Bahtiarian currently serves as a member of the Certification Board and Board of Directors. He was also most previously the INCE Vice President of Board Certification.
Both awards were given at an awards ceremony on August 29, 2018 during the 47th Annual InterNoise Conference in Chicago.
