"After performing at Troy Music Hall, I walked into my high school guidance counselor’s office telling him, “I want to be an acoustic engineer”. I had to figure out this wizardry called “acoustics” which led me directly into the field of acoustic consulting and to work at Acentech."
Anthony DeMarte consults on various projects involving educational, commercial, and residential facilities. His areas of concentration include architectural acoustics, mechanical systems noise and vibration control, and environmental acoustics.
As a big hockey fan, Anthony finds similarities between acoustical consultants to good hockey referees. “The best referees are the ones that referee a game and no one knows they were there. While it might not be noticed, a well-designed acoustic environment is as essential to any project as a good referee is to any game.”
On the Road Again
I recently completed a cross country motorcycle trip that totaled approximately 5,000 miles.
