The Sound of Solar

With sustainability mandates pushing for renewable energy (RE) sources, solar and wind farms are gaining traction. Solar energy is one of the quietest forms of RE, but solar farm equipment relies on noise-producing components to make that energy accessible to the public. Principal Michael Bahtiarian’s article, “The Sound of Solar,” published in North American Clean Energy, discusses the unexpectedly noisy aspects of solar energy and when acoustic evaluations might be necessary to avoid disruptions to surrounding communities.
