GMO Headquarters

GMO, an international investment management firm, has expanded their global headquarters to a new, three-floor location at 53 State Street in downtown Boston. Designed by Nelson Worldwide, the 74,000 SF corporate base includes open plan and private offices, training and meeting rooms, multipurpose and common areas, and a video production studio.

Acentech was involved in the project from schematic design through construction, addressing architectural acoustics, HVAC system noise control and vibration isolation and sound masking design services. Our work focused on achieving confidential speech privacy for closed offices and meeting spaces, excellent speech intelligibility in conference rooms and overall acoustical comfort throughout the entire office.
