Acentech Welcomes New Staff and Announces Several Promotions

We are thrilled to announce the addition of two new consultants and the recent promotion of five consultants!

NEW HIRES

Jack Briskie, Consultant
Jack Briskie recently joined Acentech’s Noise and Vibration Group at our Cambridge, Mass. headquarters. He works primarily on vibration, environmental and industrial noise projects, but has a wide range of experience and enjoys challenges of varying project types, from vibration site surveys and acoustical modeling to performing arts spaces. Jack holds a B.S.Eng degree in Acoustical Engineering and Music from the University of Hartford, and is currently awaiting full certification as a licensed Professional Engineer.

Liz Lamour Croteau, Consultant
Liz Lamour Croteau recently joined Acentech’s Systems Group at our Cambridge, Mass. headquarters, focusing on audiovisual design, sound reinforcement and control systems for a wide variety of projects. She is also an Assistant Professor at the Berklee College of Music, where she teaches Music Acoustics. She is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and AVIXA. Liz received her MA in Architecture from the University of Kansas, where she focused on architectural acoustics and building technology; and her BM in Music Production/Engineering from the Berklee College of Music.

RECENT PROMOTIONS

Corey Salvatore, CTS | Principal Consultant
Corey Salvatore is a versatile sound and audiovisual systems designer, working primarily on higher education and corporate projects throughout New England. Corey joined Acentech in 2000, received his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from Northeastern University, is an AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), and current Acentech board member. Corey’s recent projects include the Gant STEM building at the University of Connecticut; the Irving Energy Institute at Dartmouth College; and the Elmira, NY Airport Terminal.

Robert Connick | Senior Consultant
Bob Connick is an acoustician working on various projects involving institutional, commercial and residential facilities. He earned dual degrees in Physics and Humanities with a concentration in music from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and his MS in Architectural Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He joined Acentech in 2013. His recent projects include the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, FL; and renovations to Children’s National/Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC.

Roberto Gomez | Senior Consultant
Roberto Gomez consults in Acentech’s environmental acoustics group, concentrating on transportation and community noise, including residential sound insulation program (RISP) projects that mitigate noise issues for those living near airports. Roberto received his BA in Economics from UMass Amherst. He joined the firm in 2002. A few of his current projects include the new Brookline High School; the Canisteo Wind Energy Center in New York; and construction noise mitigation at Harvard University’s Allston campus.

Kelsey Rogers | Senior Consultant
Kelsey Hochgraf is an acoustician who works on projects involving educational, performing arts, commercial and residential facilities. She earned her BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, and her MS in Architectural Acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She also has a strong interest in auralization, and is involved in ongoing research and development of Acentech’s 3DListening® technology. Her current projects include several performing arts centers for independent K-12 education, renovations and additions to historic humanities and economics buildings at Yale University, and the expansion of Autodesk offices in Boston.

Kristen Murphy, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP | Senior Consultant
Kristen Murphy is an acoustics consultant for educational, healthcare, performing arts, commercial, and residential projects, with a special focus on sustainable design. Kristen earned her BS in Architecture from the University of Michigan, and her MS in Architectural Acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has been with the firm since 2016. Her current projects include the UMass Amherst Student Center renovation; the new Recreation Center at the University of Connecticut; and several high school projects in the Greater Boston area.
